Summer Project 2015
Helping The Community
On July 2015, our team arrived at Heshigten Banner, Inner Mongolia. On July 4, for the first time we visited Bayinmendu School, which can be translated to “the school on horseback” because people used to relied heavily on horse as transportation.

Summer Project 2015: Service

The whole school only had around fifty students, ranging from grade one to grade six. 35 of them joined our summer camp. In a short period of time, we shared our experiences with the students and taught them about western culture and festivals.

We demonstrated to them what school life was like in Canada and U.S. and played games with them throughout the classes. Moreover, we were impressed by their folk songs and dances, and most importantly, their passion to learn.

After class, students would gather around us and ask questions. Although we only stayed for a few days, we definitely had a wonderful experience.
