Summer Project 2014
Helping The Community
During the 2014 summer vacation, the three of us who have been studying abroad in Canada came to Liaoning with a goal of help children to learn more about the world. How can we make our lessons more engaging? What should we teach? Since we decided to establish I Care, these questions lingered in our minds. After two months of preparation, we arrived at our destination with trembling hearts.
Summer Project 2014: Service

Event content:
Sharing experience of studying abroad
Introducing Canadian, American, Spanish and French culture
Introducing the festivals of each countries
Playing games to help learning
Introducing food from different countries

In our two days’ event, we had overcame many difficulties and enjoyed the time with the students. At the end, our well-prepared lessons got approved by the teachers in the school. Throughout the lessons, the students were able gain more knowledge through playing fun games because we tried to blend our lessons into different games. The students’laughter echoed in the hallway and jealousy rose in other classes. Several English teachers were attracted by our interesting lessons so they came to listen.
The success of our first event brought us confidence and experience for future events. This first step is a foundation of the future I Care events; we believe that I Care will get better and help more children to widen their perspectives of the world.
